Hi! I’ve read your book! It was great and worth reading. I got motivated by it and because of that I want to achieve my desired grades A*A*A to get to Cambridge. However during my revision, I was wondering if it’s worth using revision guides for my AS and A2? The thing is that, would it be better to skim read the revision guide couple of times to remember things better instead of making the notes for yourself?

      Hi Johnny,

Thanks for reading our book! If your exam board text books cover everything you need, then you should stick to them in my opinion. However, there is no harm in referring to revision guides to help your understanding. The letts chemistry revision guides helped me a lot in that respect.

    Hi!

Just wondering if you can help me. I bought your book and read it cover to cover in about 2 hours. However, I felt like there was not much time dedicated to English and languages. I am doing french, spanish (AQA) and english (OCR) A level and feel like they are really difficult to revise for.

I was wondering if you could give me some guidance!

    • anshulraja1's avatar anshulraja1 says:

      Hi Charlie,

Thank you for reading our book. Your subjects fall into the written prose category and therefore the scribble technique can be used for memorising certain facts for the exam. However, most of your exams require reading texts or data and writing analysis. The only way you can build your analysis skills is through practice. My advice – get into the habit of looking at data or a piece of text and forming opinions quickly. When your teacher throws analysis work at you, pay attention to what you find difficult. Was it difficult to form opinions? Structure and writing those opinions into written prose? Keep going back to your teacher with these difficulties and over time you will hone your analysis skills to point where you can read something once or twice, break it down/produce opinions and write it all down in a structured/succinct way.

Sorry if the book didn’t provide much help for the subjects you are taking. I do hope the other sections in the book added some value.

      Regards,
      Raja

Hi, I am doing my AS and my predicted grades are C’s and D’s 😦 so it is very disappointing, I have done my mocks and got BCDE and again, was not happy, I want to buy this book but I don’t have a card or use amazon..is this book in store?

    • anshulraja1's avatar anshulraja1 says:

      Hi Prina,

Thank you for your interest. I was in the same position as you and it’s completely possible to improve with the right guidance. Unfortunately, the book is only available online at the moment. I suggest asking your school or parents/guardians to help you with the purchase.

      Many thanks,
      Raja

Hi, I’ve just read your book, which is amazing! However, I’ve left it a bit late with my AS, as only have 9 weeks to go and don’t think ill fit it all in!! I’m taking physics, maths, biology and geography and was shocked with the results of my mock grades. I’m comited to working really hard however, do you think I don’t have enough time to do the scribble technique as suggested in the book? What do you suggest I do?

    • anshulraja1's avatar anshulraja1 says:

      Hi Ottilie,

Thank you for reading our book. The scribble technique is well suited to the subjects you are taking. In my opinion, given the time constraints, the scribble technique is the only way you can understand/absorb the required amount. I would stick with it. In 9 weeks you should be able to complete a strong layer for each module, complete a fast 2nd layer and do past papers if you make full use of your time.

hi Raja, im sitting five A2 exams (2 biology 2 psychology 1 english lit) and one AS (human biology) this june.
For english i won’t be doing the scribble technique and am naturally an A/B grade student due to technique and my good planning of essays, and for psychology I have been writing essays as they would appear in the exam all year as we learnt the information, i just plan on learning the main essays for the exams.
so really, i have about 40 essays for psych to learn, make sure i know which parts of the books and which poems are related to which theme or character for english, and im wondering if you think i should aim for two or three layers using the scribble technique for biology in the next 11 weeks, considering im where im at with my other subjects.

    • anshulraja1's avatar anshulraja1 says:

      Hi Pippa,

Are your biology text books designed by the exam board and are they up to date with the current specification? If so, then yes aim to complete at least 1 layer in the next 11 weeks. Try and fit in a 2nd if you have time – I often did a 2nd layer in the gaps between exams. Be sure to leave enough days for past papers.

    Hi,

I have just read your book and its great!
I have revised on and off all year. Is it too late to start proper revision now using the scribble technique when my exams start may 13?
Also can you do the scribble technique using a white board and marker rather than paper?

    • anshulraja1's avatar anshulraja1 says:

      Hi,

Thanks for reading our book. Given that you’ve been working through the year, it’s not too late to start using the scribble technique. Using a white board is fine! Good luck with your exams.
