Hi
I’ve read your book and I love iT! Problem is I’m retaking my module for A2 PE and requires knowing the mark schemes really well. So should I look at mark schemes along with my notes and use the scribble technique or recommend to write out past paper questions and look at mark schemes after?
Steven
Hi Steven,
Thank you for reading our book. The first thing to do is check if you have an exam board textbook for PE and if it is up to date. If not then focus on the mark scheme and piece your learning material together. Try to complete at least 1 strong layer before attempting past papers.
Raja
Hi
I’m retaking A level PE OCR and it requires sticking closely to the mark schemes. Do you think it’s worth looking at the mark schemes first then performing the scribble technique or do past papers questions then look at mark schemes. Do you also think it’s more effective doing mind maps then scribble technique??

Hi
I have just finished my AS levels with a CCCB. I have just finished reading your book and was wondering on what advice you’d give me as your advice seems very good and accurate. I was wondering if you think through using your techniques and not doing any retakes that I could achieve a grade of ABB in my A-levels next year? I was really disappointed with my grades this year especially as I knew I could do better and I would really like to go to my chosen uni.
Thanks!
-Jake
Sorry, I also forgot to mention that I wish to drop the subject I got a B in as I really didn’t enjoy the year and the exam questions I got for it was very easy, hence the grade.
Hi Jake,
Thank you for reading our book. How close were your Cs and Bs to Bs and As?
Raja
In History my C was about halfway to a B, in Psychology I had a low C, in Science (applied) I got a high C and in Ethics and Philosophy I achieved a mid to low B
Jake,
In my opinion you should take retakes – how many and in what subjects depends on your individual marks and how hard the exams are. To answer your question, it is possible to improve your grades. I got far worse grades than you for AS and managed to turn it around. Follow the guidance in my book closely and you will be fine! Have a go at the techniques before your you start school – if you feel you need more guidance then check out our A-Level Rescue Workshop.

Hi
Need advice…recently received my AS results and I came out with a dissapointed grade BDEE.( B in psychology D in chemistry
E in maths and E in biology) I revised so hard and hoped to come out with better grade. Am planning on retaking a few module in June along with my A2 exams
Do u think I should go with it. I just feel like it could be too much and am not ready to retake another AS year.
Hi,
I think you should retake but as a rule of thumb do not go over 8/9 retakes as this will get too much.
Raja
Would appreciate your response Asap
Ayo
Thanks

Hey raja… I have recently got my AS results. .. As in bio and psychology… but B in maths and chemistry. .. After reading this book I realised where I went wrong and also how and why I went wrong. I will follow the advices given in this book with 110% dedication and sincerity.
However . I got 1 question. Can you do more than 3 layers of repition??
And yes, thanks a million !!!
Hi Umar,
Congratulations on your results and thank you for reading our book. You can do more than 3 layers (if you have time).
Raja
Hi
One other question. Is it possible to execute the 1st layer but have all the subjects done combined together in the first 2-3 weeks rather than do subject by subject?
Steven
