Hi, I’ve just done my AS and got really bad results in them.. I got a D in business, a E in biology and a U in chemistry. The other thing in my chemistry ISA/coursework I got an A in. I had also sat psychology but they did not cash it in due to some problems that occurred in between the exams.
But my predicted grades are 2/3 grades higher that what I have got so if I hadn’t turned up to the exam I would have got a better grade than what I have got now. I want to pursue a career in science e.g. Medicine or neuroscience.
I have just brought your book.. How did you get your offers for university when you had low grades? Or how did you go about your application form for uni and ucas?
Also are there any tips or advice you could give me to achieve the A’s that I want as at the moment I’m really disappointed and upset.
Hope to hear from you soon.

I’m really worried that I won’t be able to get the grades I want and need. What should I do?

Thank you for the book, it’s one of the most genuine books I’ve read with good advice. Thank you so much.

      Hi Anusha,

Thanks for your kind words! I pushed my 6th form quite a lot to get decent predicted grades. With some luck and a decent UCAS reference I got the offer I wanted. The best advice I can give you is read our book from front to back. If you have any questions after reading it give us a shout!

Hey, so ur book is great and everything but i need more specific advice. So im redoing AS and i obviously need to 10x better this year. Whats your advice to when i actually start school next week???? Btw i do maths bio and chem

    • anshulraja1 says:

      Hi John,

Before you start school make sure you complete a full repetition revision timetable. This way you have a plan for the year. Now that you have retakes to do you need to start revising immediately and can’t wait for study leave. Your study leave starts now! In your free periods, evenings and weekends you should be working towards hitting your revision targets.

I recommend covering your A2 modules first before tackling your AS retakes. This may mean learning A2 material before it is taught in class – this is absolutely OK! Take a look at the power repetitions section under step 1.

Your first layers should be completed by Feb next year and 2nd layers preferably before study leave.

    Hi,
Just A simple question, in the scribble technique, if you have missed out some points after reading through, what should you do next? do you just read through it again and use the scribble technique again?

Hey going back to 6th form in september. Any tips to stay focused during the year from the start?

    • anshulraja1 says:

      Hi Billy,

One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to open up your books instead of your TV when you get home. You set the theme of the evening by doing this. It doesn’t take long to form a habit. Do it for a week and you’ll probably continue doing it for several weeks at a time!
